AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM MS. GOWANS TO OUR KINDERGARTEN FAMILIES:
Dear Kindergarten Families,
Your children have been working very hard on a musical program to present to you!
Our program, Cookies the Musical, will be held on May 22nd at 3:00 p.m. The program will be held here at Mountain View in the cafeteria.
Speaking parts have been assigned and sent home. If your child has a speaking part, they will dress as that part. All other student will dress as:
Students of Ms. Kilgore, Ms. Andreasen, and Ms. Hutchison:
These classes will be puppies. I have purchased puppy ears for each child. Your child may dress in a simple puppy costume, or wear school clothes.
Students of Ms. Zhao and Ms. Stone:
These classes will dress as cookies. I will make cookies for the students. If you will be making a cookie costume for your child, please let me know.
Students of Ms. Taravella:
This class will dress as bakers. I will provide the bakers hat. If you have an apron for your child, they could wear that.

GBC CE has partnered with Nevada Robotics, StarLight Productions Musical Theater, The California Trail Center, and their own Art/Jewelry/Glass and Ceramics Studios; there truly is something for everyone. We are THRILLED to announce that Mrs. Tamera Gowans, our music teacher, has been selected as Mountain View Elementary's Teacher of the Year for 2024-2025!
Mrs. Gowans is an incredible asset to MVE! She not only grows a love of music in all of our students, but she has started a successful greenhouse program that has given students and staff alike the opportunity to learn about and cultivate plants and food.
Mrs. Gowans's genuine positivity and helpful attitude has made an indelible impact on all of the MVE community.
