ECSD Family Newsletter Quarter 1
| | Greetings to everyone in our ECSD Community! I hope everyone enjoyed your two weeks of fall 😂. It was a beautifully long summer and it would appear that winter is anxious to have its time in the spotlight now. While the weather can often be unpredictable, I'm grateful that we can reliably predict that our teachers and staff will give their very best to our students. We're also truly blessed to know we can count on the amazing support from you, our community. Whether it's attendance at sporting events, helping in the classroom, filling sub vacancies, or organizing classroom celebrations, you’ve shown our students, staff, and schools that you are here to make a difference. The start of the school year has been energizing, and we’re grateful for the examples of unity that have shown throughout our school community.
Our students and educators have already achieved some remarkable milestones. From academic achievements to extracurricular activities, I’m proud of the dedication and effort evident across all our schools. I encourage you to celebrate these successes with your children, as they are a testament to their hard work and the high standards we uphold together.
As we head into the second quarter of this school year, our core four focuses remain the same: - Students Prepared for the Future
- Teaching and Learning Excellence
- Family and Community Engagement
- Student and Staff Wellness
As we move forward into the rest of the semester, please know we are committed to making this year memorable and enriching for every student. Our dedicated administrators and teachers are continuously enhancing classroom experiences to engage students deeply in their learning. We encourage all families to partner with us by prioritizing student attendance at school and staying engaged in your children’s progress and activities.
Thank you once again for your ongoing support. I look forward to sharing more updates with you throughout the school year. -Superintendent CJ Anderson

The new policy, adopted on September 3, 2024, outlines clear guidelines to ensure that AI is used responsibly and ethically in the classroom. Students and staff are encouraged to explore AI's potential while following the district’s guidelines to support both personal growth and academic success. To help you understand the policy, we’ve included resources on our website. These resources will help ensure that AI is used correctly and in line with district expectations.
