Dear SCMS Families,
We are excited to introduce United Pathways, a new program designed to support the social, emotional, and mental well-being of students in our school community.
United Pathways is a program through United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra (UWNNS) that aims to expand access to in-school mental health support for youth throughout Northern Nevada. The program provides students with opportunities to connect with trained near-peer mentors who offer encouragement, guidance, and support as students navigate the challenges of adolescence.
We are fortunate to now have two United Pathways staff members working at Spring Creek Middle School! These team members will collaborate with our school counselors and staff to help students build important social-emotional skills, develop positive relationships, strengthen coping strategies, and connect with additional school or community resources when needed.
As part of the program's introduction to our school, our United Pathways team members will be emailing a brief survey called the DESSA in the near future to select students and families. This survey will help gather information and better understand student and family needs so the program can provide meaningful support to our students.
Our goal is to ensure that every student feels supported, connected, and equipped with the skills they need to be successful both in and out of the classroom. We are excited about this additional resource for our Titans and look forward to the positive impact it can have on our school community!
Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting our students.

The Spring Creek Middle School's 8th grade Field of Flags event is less than a month away!
DAV’s Field of Flags empowers our community to setup up fields of American flags, all to honor local veterans and raise critical funds to support our ill and injured heroes.
Each flag represents one veteran – and our unwavering commitment to serving all veterans after they’ve sacrificed so much for our country.
All donations raise critical funds to support DAV’s life-changing services for veterans in need and their families.
